CSX-NS Shared Assets Lehigh Line

When Conrail was split up in June of 1999 both CSX and Norfolk Southern gained the right to use Conrail's Lehigh Line east of Manville in northern New Jersey to access the many terminals in North Jersey that serve the New York metropolitan area.  This busy line hosts all of Norfolk Southern's trains into and out of northern New Jersey, and CSX's trains between northern New Jersey and the Southeast via Philadelphia.  This video shows over 24 hours of fast-paced action in April of 2001 on the shared section of the Lehigh Line east of Bound Brook in northern New Jersey.  61 minutes.
