Hot Times on the Overland Route DVD

This video shows over 24 hours of awesome action in October of 2003 around the multi-tracked, great rail junction at Granger, Wyoming, where UP's line to Portland and Seattle breaks off of the original Overland Route to Ogden.  Many railfans are familiar with the tiny town of Granger on UP's incredibly busy central corridor which is bisected by long freight trains seventy or more times a day on peak days of the week.  With the addition of trains off of the former Rio Grande main through Colorado, the tonnage and train count on UP's Overland Route across Wyoming is at its highest level ever.  And many of these trains are led by UP's fleet of new SD70M's adorned with wings on their nose and a large American flag on their sides.  185 minutes.  2 Tape/DVD set.

I am still recovering from my second knee replacement in April.  The recovery is going well but seems to be going more slowly than the first knee last summer.  My wife is still an invalid.  At this time, she is not walking and using a wheelchair.  She is still getting physical therapy so there is some hope for her to gain mobility in the future.  I would still like to do more videotaping but this is looking less and less likely.  Things could be a lot worse – no life-threatening issues that we know of for any of us.  I still plan on selling existing DVDs for another year or two as long as customers still want them.  We won’t make much if any money on them anymore but fortunately we don’t need to.  Still enjoying the grandkids – a freshman granddaughter in Illinois was a starter on the basketball team last winter and she will be playing volleyball this fall.  I hope to be able to get out there this fall to see her play and her brother play football.  The great grandkids are starting to arrive.  A great grandson was born in Illinois in March and we also have a step great grandson.  Three granddaughters are engaged and one of them is pregnant.  We hope that all of you are safe and sound.  Our next newsletter will be in December of 2025.

No other train video producer shows and explains railroading like we do and our catalogue includes programs on fallen flags ATSF, SP, BN, CNW, IC, Wisconsin Central, and Conrail.  We almost always show the whole train and most of our videos show all of the action – day and night.  Our newest program is “PSR on CSX’s Chicago Line in Northern Indiana”, part of our look at PSR on eastern railroads.  This is our 49th program to be released in both Blu-ray and in regular DVD.  You need to specify what type of DVD you are ordering with programs available in both DVD and Blu-ray.  All of our DVD’s have chapters and menus and around half – everything videotaped from 2004 on plus a few programs from 2003 - have a choice of being watched with narration and without narration by using the menu or audio and language buttons on your DVD player controller.  321 programs are available in DVD (49 in Blu-ray) and all are listed in the flyers.  No other train video producer shows and explains railroading like we do and our catalogue includes programs on fallen flags ATSF, BN, SP, CNW. IC, Wisconsin Central, and Conrail.  Our shipping and handling charge on orders remains $5.00 with no charge on orders over $100.  We offer year-round discounts on large orders.  See flyers for details.  These discounts are available only by mail and phone.  If you have questions and get our answering machine, please leave your name and number and we will call you back as soon as possible.  You can reach us by email at bigeee@trainvideos.com or on our webpage at www.trainvideos.com.
